Film Festival Charity
The Discovering Latin America Film Festival has become one of the most important platforms for Latin American cinema in the UK. It is the only film event of this magnitude which purpose is to raise funds for social development.
This year’s festival is in aid of Task Brasil Trust’s projects with street children and teenagers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. TASK® (reg. charity 1030929) helps street children and adolescents to reintegrate into society, by providing care, accommodation, education in useful skills, and by encouraging their reintegration into their own families (when possible). TASK also aims to promote among the street teenagers the importance of family planning, and educate on the dangers of drug use and sexually transmitted diseases.
