Documentaries

Documentaries have become one of the favourite mediums to voice fractions of realities in Latin America.

One of DLA’s purposes is to show the different faces of the continent. The usual topics in news coverage and documentaries on Latin America are politics and poverty. Without neglecting such realities, we seek to also share other aspects such as the ongoing transformation of Latin American landscapes and the challenges that come with this; from an environmental standpoint such as the deforestation of parts of the Amazonian rainforest, to urban and social transformations such as the ever changing Mexico City. We will also look into Latin American literature and arts, the stories of concrete individuals, pop music and Peruvian cuisine.
