In the city of Puebla, Andrés, a former participant of the Mexican Revolution, meets Catalina, a beautiful young girl full of curiosity and desire to live a richer and more fulfilling life than that which her social background allows. She agrees when charming and powerful Andrés asks her to become his wife. However, Catalina soon discovers that wealth and money don’t necessarily bring freedom and happiness and that her generous and seductive husband is not the man she dreamt of.
