Financial Year 2007

Discovering Latin America continued growing and building its infrastructure. Importantly, we have defined the mail roles and responsibilities for all member of our leadership committee.

The main events that Discovering Latin America organised during this period included:

Rhythms of Latin America:
A two-days celebration of Latin America’s music and dance artistic expressions, presented in association with the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London (ICA). We attracted a total of 800 visitors and fundraised £6,552 for CENIT’s education project in Quito, Ecuador.

Fifth Discovering Latin America Film Festival:
Presenting 60 films in 4 locations of Central London, including: Odeon Covent Garden, Odeon Panton Street, the Ritzy Cinema and Tate Modern. Approximately 3000 people attended it and a total of £6,724 were donated to CREA Panama project in rural areas of Panama.
