Action Aid – Xinca and Pipil Communities in Guatemala: Poverty alleviation
Proceeds from Legacies of Latin America.
- 450 visitors
- £4,800 raised for the Xinca and Pipil Communities in Guatemala, to improve housing for over 10 families and an extra room for the school in this settlement.
BOLIVIA:

Friends of Bolivia: Health
Proceeds from the 2nd DLA Film Festival.
- 1,300 visitors
- £7,600 raised for children with special needs in Tarija, Bolivia, through Friends of Bolivia.
MEXICO:

Peace Brigades International in Mexico: Human rights
Proceeds from Rhythms of Latin America, the 1st Festival of Music and Dance.
A 2-day event at the Cervantes Institute.
- 650 visitors
- £2,500 raised for Peace Brigades International for protection for human rights campaigners in Mexico.
ARGENTINA:

Prema UK’s rural schools and Fundacion Compromiso in Argentina
Proceeds from the 3rd DLA Film Festival.
- 2,000 visitors
- £7,800 raised for educational programs consisting of improvements to 7 school in El Chaco, Argentina and training for the teachers on these schools.
PERU:

Project Peru
Proceeds from the 4th DLA Film Festival. November 2005.
- 2,800 visitors
- £7,200 raised for the Children’s refuge, providing shelter and education for children in need in the outskirts of Lima.
ECUADOR:

TECCWE and CENIT project in Quito, Ecuador
Proceeds from the 2nd Rhythms of Latin America Festival of Music and Dance.
- 800 visitors and raised
- £6,800 for street children, specifically girls, giving support for handcrafts material and salaries for staff.
PANAMA:

CREA Panama
Proceeds from the 5th DLA Film Festival.
- 2500 visitors
- £6,724 was raised for education in sustainable conservation
BRAZIL:

Task Brazil
Proceeds from 6th DLA Film Festival.
- 3000 visitors
- £6,000 was raised for street children in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
NICARAGUA:

Proceeds from Rhythms of Latin America Nights, in conjunction with the first Casa Theatre Festival.
- 1150 visitors and raised
- £3,000 raised for the acquisition of medical equipment and to introduce a new educational well-being programme for women in Nicaragua.
