DLAFF's Short Film section showcases the very best of contemporary Latin American shorts, featuring many UK and European premières and multi award-winning films.

While watching the latest short-films from Latin America we noticed a common theme: daily life. Consequently, we are presenting a set of minimal stories set in vast landscapes. Some characters recall their past, some others are forced to learn how to face up to the future, and for some other it seems like they are stuck in an eternal present. Through a diverse range of visual styles, these fresh narrations discover different ways of confronting life.
